The Dynamite Agility Center, located in Rockville, Maryland, needed some exterior signage. They literally had no building signage, save for a small door logo that was hard to see. When customers would drive up the road, they always had a hard time finding their facility, specifically due to the lack of signage. We suggested a lit, 3-dimensional rendering of their logo, or a lightbox with a solid covered face with their lit logo extending past the face using thick acrylic, or a simple lightbox with an acrylic face. They decided to go with the last option.

Luckily, they had an existing light fixture over their main entrance, so we didn't have to run any electrical to the install location on the wall. All we had to do was fabricate the lightbox casing, and make the acrylic face with their logo. We used a 6" deep cabinet, using LEDs instead of traditional fluorescent bulbs, for better light distribution and energy savings, as well as longevity - LEDs last for years before needing to be replace, sometimes as long as 10 years!

LEDs, evenly distributed inside the cabinet for maximum coverage, and no "dark spots".

For the face, we digitally printed their logo on translucent adhesive vinyl, then applied that to a standard 3/16" thick white acrylic face.

Once all the components were fabricated, all that was left was to install the box on the building itself. It looks great, and now their customers can find them much more easily!
